Courier Post Reports: Camden Riversharks to host night for 5-year-old Somerdale boy
Camden Riversharks to host Riley O’ Brien Night at 7 p.m. Friday.
The 5-year-old Somerdale boy, who was born with heterotaxy syndrome and complex congenital heart disease, was released from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia last month after receiving a rare double-lung and heart transplant in March. He has not been able to return to his home due to its mold and structural problems.
The O’Briens are working with Camden County Habitat for Humanity to raise money for a new home. The family of four, Riley’s team of visiting nurses and an array of medical equipment have been temporarily relocated to a two-bedroom apartment.
Bravo TV star and recording artist Cory Singer will sing the national anthem, and a fireworks display will follow the game. A portion of each ticket sold by 5 p.m. on Thursday will benefit Smile4Riley. Tickets are $11 and must be purchased online.
