DETAILS: Four stars of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters will battle the cold, wind, and extreme distance to attempt trick shots from the historic Battleship New Jersey to a basketball hoop placed on a McAllister tugboat floating below in the Delaware River.
Big Easy Lofton, Handles Franklin, Moose Weekes, and Buckets Blakes will attempt to make history as the first team to accomplish the feat.
The event is free and open to the public.
The week of March 2 is “Globetrotter Week” in Philadelphia and Trenton and includes a series of school visits and goodwill appearances. The week culminates with five games from March 5-8, including the Liacouras Center (Friday at 7 p.m.), Sun National Bank Center (Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.) and Wells Fargo Center (12noon and 5 p.m.).
