Riversharks holding their own; Camden set to host All-Star Game

CAMDEN — On the last Sunday in September 2003, a crowd of 58,554 packed into Veterans Stadium for the final baseball game in a cookie-cutter, multipurpose venue that was state-of-the-art in 1971 but well out-of-date three decades later.

Meanwhile, just a few miles down Interstate 95 and across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the Camden Riversharks were wrapping up their third season in the Atlantic League before a sellout crowd of their own.
